MIAMI COUNTY ELECTRIC & GAS AGGREGATION PROGRAMS
The Miami County Electric Aggregation contract through
AES Ohio is a fixed rate of 6.49 cents per kWh (kilowatt-hour) for
residential and small business customers which will
terminate with the December 2025 billing.
The new electric supplier is with Dynegy Energy Services
beginning with the December 2025 meter read date at a
fixed rate of 9.59 cents per kWh, until the December
2026 meter read date. While the 12-month offer is
slightly higher than the current SSO rate, future SSO
rates beyond May 2026 are not yet known. There is no
early termination fee.

Natural Gas
Aggregation
The current rate for natural gas
aggregation is 5.89 cents per mcf to terminate with the
October 2025 billing. The County renewed with IGS Energy
for a 24-month term at a fixed rate of $6.82 per MCF ($0.682
per ccf) starting with the November 2025 billing. There
is no early termination fee.
Miami County residents are eligible to participate
unless they are:

Newberry Township residents (Newberry Township is
already in an aggregation program)

Pioneer Electric Cooperative customers

Percentage of Income Payment Program (PIPP Plus)
participants are not eligible

Consumers who have chosen an alternative supplier
are eligible but not automatically included and
should contact the Miami County Commissioners’
Office, if interested. Before joining, they should
find out if there are any early termination fees for
ending a contract with their current supplier.
