Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide our citizens with a safe, healthy environment, protect property values, provide good schools, maintain good roads and a good quality of life style. Today, our township is a large mixture of urban residential, businesses, and agriculture that provides us with a balanced economy and lifestyles. Our total population of 27,335 makes us the largest political subdivision in Miami County, 27th largest Township in Ohio out of 1308, with an annual budget of $2.2 million. Our location makes us “The Heart of Miami County” with all the Miami County government offices, Upper Valley Medical Center regional hospital, the City of Troy, and the very important Interstate 75 Economic Transportation Corridor. Our Cooperative Partnership with the County and City in sharing many services that provide a high standard of living enables us to pass along considerable tax savings to our citizens without costly duplication of services.

Your elected trustees understand and accept the responsibilities we are charged with and will continue to work within the Ohio Township Statutory Laws towards maintaining and improving your quality of life while protecting your property values and rights.

We encourage the majority of you, who are busy with work and family responsibilities and therefore unable to attend township meetings, to please contact us by using our website, calling the Township Hall, or calling a Trustee with your question, concerns or support. Your inquiry will be answered or action taken as soon as possible.
